14 ha congregat, no defuig la crítica de la professió, explica a consciència la problemàtica externa i interna i fa un conjunt de recomanacions que, de ben segur, han de contribuir a dissenyar un panorama futur millor per a la nostra sanitat i, en concret, per a la professió mèdica del nostre país. Espero i desitjo que tots els agents in- volucrats sapiguem estar a l’altura i que, adoptant les recomanacions com a guia de la nostra actuació, contribuïm amb fermesa a consolidar la con"ança en el metge, element clau d’una bona as- sistència sanitària a la població. Finalment, vull fer explícita la meva felicitació més sincera a la Fundació Educació Mèdica per aquesta lloable iniciativa, sens dubte necessària, i als qui hi han col·laborat, per la seva magní"ca tasca. Però no puc acabar aquestes línies sense fer referència al seu coordinador i màxim valedor, el Dr. Helios Pardell Alentà. La seva mort no ha truncat aquest treball que va deixar pràcticament acabat, però sens dubte ha deixat la nos- tra professió sense la veu, tan necessària en moments especialment delicats, d’un mestre i amic. Desitjo que aquesta obra, que he de quali"car de pòstuma, sigui per a molts el camí a seguir. I verymuch hope that all stakeholders will rise to the occasion and with these recommendations at hand will make a signi"cant contribution towards increasing trust in our doctors as fundamental providers of e#cient and satisfactory health care. Finally, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Medical Education Foundation for this commendable and necessary initiative and also to all the experts who have contributed with their experience and knowledge to this superb work. I cannot conclude, however, without a personal reference to Dr. Helios Pardell. While his loss has not hindered the work he initiated and was so close to completing, it has undoubtedly le% our profession missing his voice, which is so necessary in such delicate times.
