_64 CODE OF MEDICAL DEONTOLOGY - Article 61.4 A doctor must inform the patient with a sexually transmitted disease about the potential risk of transmitting it and about the obligation that they have to communicate this circumstance to those with whom he/she has had or is going to have sexual relations. In addition, a doctor must warn the patient that, if they do not voluntarily assume this duty to inform, the professional could be released from the duty of secrecy in case of serious risk to third parties. Article 62 Regarding sexuality and reproduction, a doctor must not let personal ideology interfere with other people's consciences. They must inform loyally, or recommend those practices or measures that benefit them or their future offspring. A doctor must, if asked, inform about all the benefits to which they are entitled for procreation, pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, and voluntary termination. Article 63.1 Genetic manipulation that does not have a beneficial diagnostic or therapeutic purpose for a person, in any development phases, or for their offspring is contrary to Medical Ethics. These practices will only be acceptable to prevent diseases, and not to modify non-pathological characteristics. They will be carried out in specialized centers and with prior authorization from the corresponding Ethics Committee. Article 63.2 A doctor will not participate directly or indirectly in any human cloning process.
